Begin your adventure with a warm welcome from the Sky Extra team, who will provide a detailed tour briefing. Then, set off on an early morning drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. On your journey, pause at the stunning Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking views.
The Maasai Mara, a vital part of the Serengeti ecosystem, is renowned for its spectacular wildlife experiences, including the famous Great Migration. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive, where you will have the chance to witness the incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. As evening falls, continue your game drive and savor the diverse beauty of the reserve.
After a day of exploration, return to your accommodation for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay. This experience promises to be a memorable introduction to the wonders of the Maasai Mara.
After a hearty breakfast, you can choose to embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch or return to your accommodation for a more relaxed experience. The Maasai Mara Reserve is famous for its striking black-manned lions and a diverse array of wildlife, making it one of the prime locations to encounter the Big Five during a morning drive.
You might even see cheetahs so comfortable around humans that they seek shelter under vehicles or climb onto roofs for a better vantage point to spot prey. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the reserve’s impressive variety, with nearly 500 species recorded.
A visit to the Mara River is a must, especially during the Great Migration when the river becomes a dramatic scene of crossing animals. After a day filled with wildlife encounters and scenic views, return to your accommodation for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Begin your day with warm breakfast, and a morning game drive as you exit Masai Mara. After completing border formalities at Isebania, continue your journey to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. On your way to your accommodation, take advantage of an afternoon game drive in Serengeti, where the golden light of the setting sun casts a stunning glow over the vast savannahs, offering a picturesque end to your day.
The Serengeti, renowned for its incredible wildlife and the Great Migration, provides exceptional opportunities to observe lions, elephants, and wildebeests in their natural habitat. Although today involves a lengthy drive, the game drives in and out of the parks are often filled with remarkable sights and experiences.
After a day of adventure and awe-inspiring views, enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay at your accommodation.
You will have a full day to explore the Serengeti at your own pace with unlimited mileage. As we drive over the hills, you will witness the vast expanse of the Serengeti—its name, meaning “endless plains” in Kiswahili, is truly fitting. Spanning 6,900 square miles (18,000 square km), this park is teeming with wildlife, including over 2 million animals. Among them are a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. The abundant prey supports a range of predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, while smaller animals like rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also call the Serengeti home. With nearly 500 bird species, it is a true haven for wildlife. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive on your way to your accommodation, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
We recommend getting up early to start your game drive while the animals are most active and to catch one of the most breathtaking sunrises you’ll ever experience (with an optional balloon safari for a unique view). After your drive, return to your accommodation for a delicious brunch before setting off for Ngorongoro, often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. This magnificent crater, spanning 102 square miles and surrounded by 2,000-foot-high walls, serves as a natural Noah’s Ark, hosting nearly every species native to East Africa. It’s one of the few places where you might spot the elusive black rhino. The crater’s diverse landscape includes a river, several swamps, a soda lake with flamingos, a forest, and vast plains. It’s especially famous for its large elephants with impressive tusks.
You will reach your accommodation in the evening, where you can enjoy dinner and unwind for the night.
We will start the day with an early breakfast before checking out of your accommodation. From there, we will head out on an enroute game drive, stopping at a Maasai village along the way before continuing to Arusha. We expect you to arrive in Arusha with ample time for your flight-home. This will conclude our services as we drop you off at the airport.
