Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1Nairobi- Samburu National Reserve

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick up at your Nairobi Hotel, you will be met by our team and professional Tour-guide for a meet and greet and briefed on your safari. 

The journey from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve is an enchanting adventure, beginning with a scenic drive through the heart of Kenya’s diverse landscapes. As you leave Nairobi, the bustling city fades, giving way to rolling hills and expansive plains. The route takes you through picturesque towns like Nanyuki, offering glimpses of Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peak. Upon entering Samburu, the arid beauty of the land contrasts sharply with its rich wildlife. The journey culminates in the rugged terrain of Samburu, where unique wildlife, like the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra, await your exploration. 

Day 2Samburu National Reserve

You will have early morning breakfast,  then take off for a full day  game drive in the reserve. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the afternoon drive,

The best game drive at Samburu National Reserve is an exhilarating adventure through its unique, semi-arid landscape. Early morning drives offer the chance to witness rare species like the Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and reticulated giraffe. The reserve is teeming with wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and elephants. Along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, enjoy sightings of crocodiles and hippos. With stunning views of the dramatic mountains, the experience is heightened by expert guides who ensure you don’t miss any of the incredible wildlife moments.

 

Day 3Samburu- Ol Pejeta Conservancy

A full day at Ol Pejeta Samburu is an unforgettable adventure. Begin with an early morning game drive, spotting iconic wildlife like the endangered black rhino, reticulated giraffe, and cheetah in their natural habitat. Explore the reserve’s diverse landscapes, from arid plains to lush riverbanks. Enjoy a guided walking safari for a closer look at the ecosystem. In the afternoon, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, learning about conservation efforts. The day ends with an exhilarating sundowner, witnessing a breathtaking sunset over the savanna.

Day 4Ol Pejeta Conservancy-Lake Nakuru National Park

On this day, you will have an early breakfast and check out. 

Driving from Ol Pejeta Samburu to Ol Pejeta Nakuru offers a rich experience through diverse Kenyan landscapes. You’ll pass rugged, arid terrains, home to Samburu’s unique wildlife, including reticulated giraffes and Grevy’s zebras. As you head south, the landscape transforms into lush, rolling hills and fertile grounds. Along the way, the Rift Valley’s dramatic views await, providing a scenic and wildlife-filled journey toward the Nakuru region’s picturesque beauty.

Day 5Lake Nakuru National Park- Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll have an early breakfast. You will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve,

Traveling from Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara, you’ll experience diverse landscapes. The journey takes you through vast savannas, with stunning views of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you may spot wildlife like giraffes, zebras, and antelope. As you approach Maasai Mara, expect to see expansive grasslands, iconic acacia trees, and the potential for thrilling game drives.

Day 6Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll have a full day at this reserve with morning, and evening game drives searching for wild game with an option to enjoy a balloon safari. we advise you carry a picnic lunch with you for an enjoyable fulfiling game drive

The game drive through Maasai Mara is an exhilarating adventure. You witness the majestic Big Five in their natural habitat—lions basking in the sun, elephants grazing, cheetahs sprinting, buffaloes roaming, and leopards perched on trees. The vast savannah, vibrant wildlife, and breathtaking sunsets make it an unforgettable experience.

Day 7Masai Mara- Nairobi

You will have breakfast at the lodge, have a game drive en route depending on your departure flight or plans, and depart for Nairobi having lunch en route at an extra cost. On arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport in time for final departure OR dropped off at a hotel you will advise us.

End of safari.
