This is a great tour for the Kenyan Northern and Southern circuits. It is a great tour for a photographer and also a good culture safari as it covers two special tribes the Maasai and Samburu. It is a good trip to experience both wildlife and culture.

Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide, who will brief you about your safari. Afterwards, you will travel north to the land of the Samburu, the cousins of the Maasai community. You will pass through the foot of Mount Kenya and if you are lucky, you will see the snow-capped peaks. Samburu is famous for its special game which includes the reticulated giraffes, the Beisa oryx, the gerenuks and Grevy zebras among many other animals. The desert climate necessitating the growth of acacia umbrella trees and other tropical desert vegetation makes Samburu one of the most special game parks in the country. A visit to a Samburu village is highly recommended. Once you are in the reserve, you will enjoy an en-route game drive to the lodge, check-in and have lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy the afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.
You will have an early sunrise photo session and a morning game drive. Later, you will head back for breakfast. After lunch in the afternoon, you have the option of visiting a Samburu village. You will enjoy a late afternoon game drive until sunset and head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
The highlights of the Samburu Game Reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colourful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, grevy’s zebras and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.
After breakfast, you will leave for Aberdare National Park. The park covers an area of 766 square kilometers and forms part of the Aberdare Mountain Range. It contains a wide range of landscapes—from the mountain peaks to their deep, v-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. You will have lunch at Aberdare Country Club. Later, you will check into your hotel. Modelled after Noah’s Ark, it has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Aberdare Country Club.
After breakfast, you will drive to Nakuru while enjoying the breathtaking scenery that makes the landscape of the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the Subukia viewpoint. You will arrive in time for lunch and check in at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park. Later, you will get back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m (5,755 ft) above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in the Rift Valley of Kenya and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos have also been introduced.
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve via Narok Town. You will arrive and commence your game drive. You will later check-in and have lunch at Mara Sopa. In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive. Later, you will drive back to the lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
You will have breakfast at the camp, and proceed for a morning game drive in the reserve with lunch boxes ready for a full day. You’ll embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve until sunset. You can visit a Maasai village this afternoon and pay on the ground. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Enkorok Camp.
Masai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the rivers Mara and Talek, full of crocodiles and hippos. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest, which gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Masai Mara, which in fact is a continuance of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to November, the annual migration of huge herds of gnus and zebras.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi and have lunch. Later, you will have the chance to go shopping for souvenirs. Afterward, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure.
