Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp

 Amboseli National Park is a great tourist administration famous for hosting a large population of elephants, this amazing national park derives its name from a local Masai slag “Amboseli” meaning dusty salt. It is a great ecological system hosting many herds of zebras, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopards, and elephants which are the greatest attraction to the park.

The park consists of great scenery created by the backdrop of mountain Kilimanjaro, the park has consists of many spots where animals can be spotted and they include an observation hill where you can spot many animals.

Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp is in Amboseli National Park which is crowned by Mt.Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest single freestanding Mountain. .The camp has the best view of Mt.Kilimanjaro and yes with a water hole in front of the camp, wildlife will always visit the camp. What to Expect

Amboseli is a great choice for first-time safari-goers or first-timers to Kenya. Its compact size allows you to see virtually every aspect in about two days. It’s closeness to Nairobi does mean that lots of Kenyans drive-through for weekends and school holidays.

The diversity of the landscape is reflected in the diversity of the game. Elephants are commonly sighted and many are known by name by the guides because they’ve been studied by researchers at the Amboseli Elephant Research Centre.

There is also a baboon research centre here to find out more about these very social, inquisitive, and intelligent primates.

Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp has 12 luxury tented rooms that feature comfy double/twin splits beds with mosquito nets, Indoor and outdoor Lounge, Indoor and outdoor showers with both cold and hot running showers,flashing toilet, washbasin, reading table.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Amboseli.

The drive to Amboseli National Park will be amazing and you will enjoy beautiful scenic sights and upon reaching Amboseli National Park you will be welcomed by the magnificent view of the snowcapped mountain Kilimanjaro. You will have lunch as you rest and in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive where you spot a variety of animals like zebra, elephants, wildebeest, giraffe, hippopotamus with a backdrop of mountain Kilimanjaro. After the game drive, you will go back to the camp and relax for the night.

Day 2Full day at Amboseli national park

On this second day of the safari, you will have a full day in Amboseli National Park, you will wake up early in the morning and drive to the park’s headquarter for briefing and start on an early morning game drive. Early morning game drive is very rewarding as you get to encounter a variety of birds and wildlife most especially predators like lions, leopards, and many more. After the game drive of 3-4 hours, you will drive back to your lodge for mid-morning breakfast, after breakfast, you will relax as you enjoy the view of the lodge.

After lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will a number of animals you have missed on the early morning game drive, after the game drive you will return to your lodge, relax, take a shower, have dinner and sleep overnight.

Day 3Game drive and return to Nairobi

On this last day of the safari, you will have another early morning game drive and also visit the Masai local people, in the Masai community you will witness various unique local practices, culture, and norms such as the way of dressing, beads, and ornaments, traditional songs and dances and many more.

After you will go back to your lodge have breakfast while resting then check out of your lodge and drive to Nairobi with an en-route game drive. You will reach Nairobi in the afternoon marking the end of the safari.
